PRISM Production Driver Package
The PRISM Production Driver Package consists of a Windows NDIS 5.1 miniport driver, a configuration application, and an InstallShield installation wizard for use with PRISM-based IEEE802.11b reference radios. One binary executable file is available for Win98/2K/ME/XP installations. An additional binary executable is available for ActiveSync installations on CE3.0. Additionally, source code licensees can build CE4.x drivers for their unique processor requirements.

ISL3PRDSUIT-EXE Functional Overview
The PRISM Production Driver Package is designed to be a complete Windows Driver solution. The Production Driver Package supports current PRISM Platforms on the aforementioned Windows Operating Systems. This complete driver package utilizes one code base to build Windows-based and CE drivers. ISL3PRDSUIT-EXE - Consists of an InstallShield application that installs drivers and guides end users through basic 802.11b configuration settings. A configuration application is provided with easy access through a system tray tool icon. Tabbed menus enable users to access 802.11b configuration settings through a single window. For operating systems that support Wireless Zero Config, the operating system automatically configures the client and the User Interface is hidden from view (but still accessible through advanced properties). For Windows CE, separate binary executables are available for ActiveSync installations on 3.0. The ActiveSync executable is run from a host machine and installed onto the connected CE client device. A configuration application is also provided within the CE environment to a provide an easy mechanism for 802.11b parameter configuration including dynamic Link Status indicators. Source code licensees can build CE4.x drivers from the same source tree. All CE drivers should be qualified against targeted platforms. ISL3PRDSUIT-CUS - A resource DLL is provided for customization of the Configuration Application display elements. Display features can be modified including buttons, icons, bitmaps, and verbiage. The edited resource DLL is then submitted to Intersil for compilation. The result is a customized driver binary executable including the installation program and configuration application. ISL3PRDSUIT-SRC - Includes source code for the Production Driver, the installation program, and the configuration application.
